Astro FAQ: Rates and pricing

• When does Astro bill for geo-targeted proxies?

  Astro charges for a port fee and traffic fee. The final price depends on your proxy settings (type, pricing plan, etc.). You can always see the exact rate in your personal dashboard by clicking “+ Add port”, selecting the required settings, and hovering over “How the price is formed”.

• How to keep my proxies active all the time?

  We recommend using an automatic renewal option. Ensure that your personal account is recharged for the amount of money enough for prolonging the purchased proxy ports for another month.
  
  Note that the port has an expiration date, which varies depending on the plan you have chosen.

   

  - Within the "Prepaid" plan, the proxy works until it runs out of traffic OR the port expires (one month). When you refill your traffic, the port's expiration date is extended for another month, and the old and new traffic amounts are combined.

  - Within the "Pay as you go" plan, the ports that haven't had any traffic for more than 45 days will be automatically archived. If an archived port isn't restored within 14 days, the port is permanently deleted. Mind that for "Pay as you go" ports to work, you need to have sufficient funds in your balance. To prevent the port from being archived, make any request through the proxy (make sure that the connection is successful).

• How can I pay for Astro proxies?

  We accept payments via e-wallets, crypto, and bank cards. The list of current methods available for buying residential IPs, mobile or datacenter proxies is published in the "Payment" section of the personal dashboard.

• What do I pay for purchasing a proxy?

  When you buy residential IP, mobile or datacenter one, you pay us for creating a new port (a small fee) and for traffic leverage (the bulk of the price). You can choose a traffic package or the “Pay as you go” option.

  There is no need to pay separately for accessing new IPs of geo-targeted proxies. Every proxy port has a rotation feature, and external IP changes according to chosen settings without additional fees.

  The port may expire by traffic or money in the account, whichever runs out first.

• What is the difference between “Predaid traffic” and “Pay as you go” tariffs?

  1) “Prepaid traffic” plan:

  - You pay in advance for a certain amount of traffic.
  - The proxy stays active until you either use up the traffic or the 1-month rental period ends.
  - When you top up traffic, the rental period is extended automatically and the remaining and new traffic are added together.
  - If a port is moved to the archive, it may not always be possible to restore it. If you delete a port with remaining traffic from Archive, that traffic is lost.

  2) “Pay as you go” (PoG) plan:

  - You don’t buy traffic in advance. You pay $0.1 when creating a proxy and then for every 10 MB of traffic used.
  - At the start of work, your balance must have at least $0.13 per port.
  - All PoG ports with no traffic for more than 45 days are automatically moved to the archive. Sending just one request within 45 days extends the period by another 45 days.

• How to get a discount on geo-targeted proxies: are there discounts for proxies?

  Yes. We provide:

  - Accumulative discounts for frequent buying residential IPs, mobile or datacenter addresses.

  - Discounts on traffic, starting for packets from 10 GB.
